This is an early notice of travel to our next away game against Bishop Stortford. With the fact that there is no club minibus that we can use, the cost of hiring a minibus is now extremely expensive, it is therefore intended that we either travel by train or by car to Bishop Stortford.
The train cost with a railcard is Adults £23.25 and Kids £6.70
Unfortunately, the train journey is a minimum of 2 1/2hrs (travelling via London), so if we want to arrive at a reasonable time for food & drink, we will need to get one of the following trains.
Basingstoke 9.03am or 9.07am trains, which depending whether we travel via Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale, will get us to Bishop Stortford around 11.40 – 11.50am.
The next train at 9.37 will get to Bishop Stortford approximately 12.20 – 12.40pm.
The ground is approximately 20 -25 mins from the station, so depending on whether we stop at the Nags Head on the way, it maybe a short taxi ride to the ground. There is a Weatherspoons pub a few hundred yards from the station.
For those travelling by car, The ProKit Stadium, Dunmow Road, Bishop Stortford. CM23 5RG, and is easily accessed via the M11. The ground itself has a small car park (Parking £2), fills up fairly quickly.
Ticket Prices; Adults £11, Concessions & Under 16’s £7, Under 12’s Free.
The ground has a small clubhouse bar and there is a Hot food counter under the main stand.
I will start a list shortly of those who want to travel by train.
