Basingstoke Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Durell Brown.
The towering defender signed forms this afternoon and will be available for selection in tomorrow’s fixture against top of the table Frome Town FC
Learning his trade at Aldershot’s academy, Durell has previously had spells at Dorking Wanders and Godalming. However, due to a severe car crash, he took some time out of the game before more recently moving to Fleet Town FC.
We’d like to thank Fleet Town in their assistance in allowing the transfer to happen in such quick time.
Durell spoke very positively about signing…
‘Really happy to sign for the club! The boys welcomed me with open arm which is always nice when being the new kid on the block! It’s time for us as a team to push on now and really show our potential!’
Brownlie went followed up on the signing…
“We’ve been looking to bolster our back line for a few weeks to ensure we’ve got good options across the season. ‘D’ is a strong and powerful centre half who will add a good presence which is always useful, particularly as games become slightly more industrious across the winter months. He’s a good character and we’re sure he’ll be a good addition to our squad.”
Welcome Durell.
