The government and the FA have made new statements that football and other sports are allowed to prepare for the start of competitive matches, with the following dates,
Until 31 July – can begin competitive training, with the overall group size being limited to 30 people.
From August – Competitive matches to begin. (Please note friendlies are already being pencilled and will be confirmed once, it is clear these games can go ahead, with whatever restrictions are required. Although not expected, this may mean some games behind closed doors, until all health and safety gudielines can be made for spectators to return safely at certain grounds.)
From September – Men’s National League & FA Competitions can commence. It is still expected that a mid to late-September restart to League matches at lower step league can be started.
