If our league position was not bad enough, it has been confirmed that the Southern League has deducted Basingstoke Town one point for fielding an ineligible player. Following Chris Rackley’s one game ban for his red card at Moneyfields, he was withheld from playing in the Hants Snr Cup game, believing this would be his one game suspension. It is now understood that this is not the case and thus when he played in the 0-0 draw at AFC Totton, the error occurred.
