Ok next up on Martin Kuhl’s radar is new boys Swindon Supermarine, who have a current league record of 5 wins, 3 draws and 9 losses from 17 games and sit one place above the relegation places and 3 places below Basingstoke who sit in 16th spot.

Their last league game was a 3-1 loss at the improving Chesham Utd who sit on the same amount of points, whilst Marine have a better goal difference.
The Marines despite being close to the bottom have only conceded 29 goals all season, but have scored only 25 goals behind their two main forwards, 25yr old Conor McDonagh with 10 goals. Conor has a wealth of experience at Oxfordshire-based clubs and played for Kidlington & Banbury last season. Their other goal scorer Stuart Fleetwood has a vast amount of Football League experience. Stuart has 5 goals this season and played for Merthyr and then Redditch Utd last season.

So as for Basingstoke, we were able to progress in the League Cup on Tuesday night against Walton with a makeshift centre back partnership, so I am hoping that either Harry Philby or Shane Hollamby, will be fully fit to allow Charlie Kennedy to move back into his midfield role.

Other questions will be whether Martin Kuhl goes with Dan Collier over one of the other midfield players.

Ben Wright started up front with Sam Smart, and played one of his better 45mins this season, but it is likely he will be partnered by Super Sammie Argent who replaced Wright at halftime.

This is a new ground for me and I’m hoping the expected rain won’t ruin our last away game before Christmas.

For those going, let’s getting behind Martin and the Boys.

Odds please Ian.
