Ok I have been looking into supporters travel to the FA Trophy match at North Leigh this coming Saturday.
The nearest station is Hanborough about 2.6 miles to the ground, this can be reached via Oxford or Reading stations. Hanborough is a small station so getting taxis may take a while.
Current travel prices with a travelcard are Adults £13.05 Kids £3.75
Train options are
10.19am via Oxford gets to Hanborough at 11.32am
or
11.02am via Reading gets to Hanborough at 12.32pm
Options are
Hanborough station nearest pub is 600yds away George & Dragon (Food Pub)
North Leigh (village pubs)
Mason Arms 0.8 miles and Woodman Inn 1 mile from ground, both more foody pubs.
Other options are travelling to Witney (3 miles from ground) have more drink options including The Griffin & Ye Olde Cross Keys, which both have Sky & BT television.
Or getting a train to Oxford, having a drink there and then getting a later train to Hanborough?

the mention of possible strikes was not on the train website last night, when I got the details then.
Ok this leaves us getting the 11.02am from BSK arriving Hanborough 12.32pm, using Great Western Railways service. However, will keep an eye on train strike in case things change. |
