Catching St Ives at the right time?

When the away game at St Ives was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch last Saturday and then the team took a hit when Charlie Kennedy hobbled off at the Farnborough game on Easter Monday, things did not look good for the remaining away games this season, especially with Sam Argent & Shane Hollamby already sidelined for the season.

However, looking at the re-arranged match at St Ives now planned for Thursday 12th April, we must have a real chance to pick up our 4th away win of the season. St Ives with a fixture backlog now have the prospect (weather permitting of course), of playing four games in 8 days.

They have to travel to St Neots Town on Thursday 5th April, then two days later travel to Gosport Borough on the Saturday. Then just 3 days later is Redditch Utd at home and justĀ  48hrs later, we have our chance as we travel to Cambridgeshire to play them.

So let’s hope we can come away from Saturday’s match at Royston injury-free and set ourselves up for the St Ives game.
