Chalfont then attack down our right and seem to have found their striker open, but the linesman has is flag up for offside.
We then try and push forward down the right through Dan Williamson, who links up well with Brody Peart, but again Chalfont are able to shut the attack down.
Moving past the half-hour the next few minutes, the play is held around the centre of the pitch.

The game gets back underway and Chalfont move into our final third of the pitch before Nathan Smart makes a nice interception, but as we break through Williamson. Chalfont stop that attack with an equally good interception.

We continue to look for a second goal, and Marcio in a neat one-two move with Haworth, Marcio breaks down the left and sends in a hard low cross that a Chalfont defender is just able to get to the ball before Lynch and he hacks it clear.

Chalfont then have a decent attack and the cross from the left is initially blocked to a Chalfont forward but as he sets to shoot Sheridan is able to get in his way and the shot is blocked clear.

Marcio then creates the next Stoke attack after initially losing the ball he recovers it then takes it past his marker and another defender then slides the ball across to Dunn, who stops then slides the ball through to Lynch who takes a touch but then has to hurry his shot, and the ball rolls a yard wide of the right-hand post (65 mins).

Match Thought’s
Another well-earned victory on the road and the two goals did not really represent the domination of the game. Good performances by Brody Peart and of course captain Simon Dunn and we more than deserve our fifth place in the final league standings and a chance for promotion through the playoffs. Also to note what a good referee we had today, who just got with the job.
Up Next:
Wednesday night we head back to Chertsey in the first round of the playoffs.
