Basingstoke Town can confirm that George Reid has signed for the ‘Stoke!
The attacking player follows Lewis Hayden in joining us from Didcot Town. The 23 year old has had previous spells at Wantage Town and Swindon Supermarine.
Dan Brownlie on his latest addition:
“We’ve worked very hard on this one – we had to remain patient as it was a difficult decision for him to leave Didcot Town. He’s been training with us over the past few weeks and already shown glimpses of his qualities in training – there’s certainly been a few nods of approval in my direction during recent sessions.”
“He’s a pacey left footer with great balance and strength – and has a beautiful strike of the ball. He’s already proved himself at this level so he carries a level of experience and I’ve no doubt he’s going to be a very important player for us this season and hopefully beyond.”
