Well with half an expectation that he would rejoin the Stoke, we can now confirm he has agreed to join the club for the upcoming 2020/2021 season.
The fans favourite joined on loan from Slough Town FC towards the end of last season but this time he’s back as a fully fledged member of the ‘Stoke for the upcoming campaign.
“It’s a signing of real significance” Dan Brownlie says “Not only does Simon bring a wealth of experience but much more than that, an absolute abundance of quality alongside it.”
“He was training with Slough as part of the play-off preparations so he won’t be joining up with the squad until next week but we’re really looking forward to it. It was great to have him on loan last season but to have him officially as part of our squad is a huge boost. Not only will he add great quality but he’ll also bring out the best in those around him – it’s a good day for the club!”
